Nope, not even close. In fact, we're just starting and we'd love for you to join in.
MAPlabs is a non-funded group of passionate (re)Searchers* who prioritize doing what's right, following the research, and helping others. We want to serve other searchers of meaning and purpose, not shareholders, so we are trying to avoid raising investment capital. Instead we are relying on human capital and donations from volunteers.
If you can join in, please do. Here are three ways you can join in:
1. Sign up for our MAPmail list (and get a free copy of The Purpose Primer!). Then tell all your contacts about us (you now know that research says that 75% of them lack a meaning-based sense of purpose). Like us and follow us on Facebook. We will only succeed if we build a community of people who care about the work we are doing and engage in supporting it. 2. Join in our work in whatever way you can. If you can take our programs, then please take them and give us good, constructive feedback about what benefitted you and what could be improved. If you have a skill, expertise or passion we can borrow (say writing, digital marketing, coding, a robust social network, or expertise in clinical psychology or neurobiology) reach out to us and volunteer to pitch in. That's what we've all done. 3. If meaning and purpose is a cause that matters to you, and if you have funds to donate (or know someone else who does), then consider chipping in to help finance our program development. 100% of all donated funds will go to developing meaning and purpose programs.
There is no greater or more rewarding journey than the one we take toward a life of meaning and purpose. But it's not a solitary journey. We'd love some company.
